Beta Tester Agreement

1. Purpose

Tester agrees to use the Range1 Golf sensor and iOS app (“Product”) during the beta period and provide honest feedback to help improve the Product. Tester understands that the Product is in an early stage of development and may contain software bugs or hardware imperfections. Critical feedback is welcome and expected — it is the entire reason this program exists.

2. What We Ask of Tester

In exchange for the beta pricing described in Section 3, Tester agrees to:

• Use the Product on a reasonable basis during practice sessions or at the driving range
• Answer three short surveys. Roughly two, ten, and twenty-one days after the sensor arrives. Each is two or three questions and takes about two minutes. The first one asks how setup went, so it helps to answer that one while it is still fresh.
• Be available, if asked, for one optional video call of about twenty minutes to discuss the experience in more detail. Not every Tester will be asked.
• Report any bugs, hardware issues, or unexpected behavior

If Tester stops using the Product, we would especially like to know why. That is more useful to us than a positive review.

3. Pricing & Ownership

The sensor is sold to Tester at a discounted beta price of $24.50 and is the Tester's to keep regardless of the outcome of the beta program or this Agreement. Tester also receives a free one-year membership, beginning when the sensor is activated in the app. After that year, membership renews at standard pricing and may be cancelled at any time. Range1 Golf's standard 90-day money-back guarantee applies to the sensor.

4. Feedback & Intellectual Property

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas Tester provides may be used by Range1 Golf to improve the Product without compensation or attribution. Tester retains no intellectual property rights in feedback provided.

5. Use of Tester's Comments

Range1 Golf may wish to quote Tester's comments in marketing materials. We will ask for permission first, and Tester is free to decline. Where a quote is used, Range1 Golf will clearly disclose that Tester received the Product at a discount in exchange for feedback. Recordings and survey responses will not be published without Tester's express permission.

6. Confidentiality

Tester is welcome to talk about their experience with friends, family, and on social media. We ask only that Tester not publicly share internal communications from Range1 Golf (such as unreleased feature previews or pricing strategies) without written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranty

The Product is provided in beta form. Range1 Golf makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or fitness of the Product for any particular purpose.

8. Safety & Assumption of Risk

The Range1 Golf sensor is designed to be attached to a golf club during practice swings. Tester acknowledges that swinging a golf club with any attached device carries inherent risk. Tester assumes all risk of personal injury, damage to equipment, or damage to property arising from use of the Product and agrees to follow all safety instructions provided by Range1 Golf. Range1 Golf is not liable for any injury or damage resulting from use or misuse of the Product.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Range1 Golf's total liability to Tester under this Agreement shall not exceed the amount paid by Tester for the sensor ($24.50).

10. Term & Termination

This Agreement remains in effect during the beta period. Either party may terminate at any time. Upon termination, Tester may keep the sensor and any remaining free membership period. Membership may be cancelled at any time per standard terms.

11. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
